In Bali, there is a dance for almost every occasion, but certainly for many celebrations and ceremonies. There are over 200 known dances on the island and pretty much every village has its own dance group. The dances can not only be an expression of pure joie de vivre, but also have a deeply religious meaning.
Just 8 kilometres off Bali's south-east coast lies this small, largely unknown group of islands, offering dreamy getaways in the crystal-clear, shimmering turquoise sea and on pristine sandy beaches. Even the crossing in a speedboat or - even more beautiful - by outrigger boat is a refreshing adventure.
November to January, Bali likes to be "a bit" rainy. Of course, this makes the beaches less attractive - but, that doesn't mean you can't still have a great holiday. What there is to do on a not so nice day is what we want to share with you today.
